TRAINED TO SAVE LIVES

During this American Red Cross Certification class you will learn the following Lifegaurd Skills: First-Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, hoe to utilize an AED, how to apply oxygen and how to respond in the event of an emergency in and outisde of the pool. The class will need a minimum of 3 participants and will max out at 10 participants. Each participants must attend all course dates in order to obtain certification. Dates vary by session. We offer between 3 and 5 sessions each year.

Course Prerequisites:

Must be 16 years old. Able to swim 100 yard in 2 minutes, tread water for 2 minutes using legs only. Surface dive to a depth of 10 feet and swim 15 feet underwater. Complete a 200 yard swim consisting of Front Crawl, Breaststroke and Elementary Backstroke with hands on chest. Spring 60 feet, perfowm a head first surface dive to retrieve an object 10 feet deep, tread water for 1 minute without the use of hands, return object to a depth of 10 feet, swim remainder of pool length, exit pool and perform 100 check compressions on a CPR mannequin.
