Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

At the Y, we give children opportunities to explore STEM and develop the decision making and problem-solving skills that will help them thrive. Hands-on activities offered through summer programs, afterschool and other Y programs, encourage STEM exploration in fun, active ways, helping youth learn how to test their ideas, evaluate results and explain what they discover. U.S. careers requiring STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills are expected to grow 17 percent by 2020.
